What is the I.R.A. and how does it pertain to me?? One of the main reasons is right here:
Industry Representation and Advocacy
Registered lobbyists work to protect and promote views and legislation in the best interest of the Illinois food service industry at the national, state and local levels of government. Members are invited to the annual Public Affairs Conferences and Lobby Day consisting of legislative and regulatory briefings with key government officials and representatives in Washington DC and Springfield. Also, members can participate in the Grassroots Program that coordinates a statewide or local industry response to proposed laws and regulations so operators speak with one voice on issues that impact the industry's business climate.
The IRA is out there lobbying for the issues that affect Illinois Restaurants every day!
But check out these other benefits!
- Discounts on Certification Classes, Training Products, and Compliance Posters
